Prayer Request

Morning Prayer for Wednesday, February 22, 2017

Please remember in your prayers all those listed in our Book of Intentions, and especially for the recovery of Fr. Richard Conyers and the father of Mr. Uhll of our faculty.  Please pray as well for the repose of the soul of Mr. Rolf Zoeller.

The Core Value for the month of February is Inclusive Diversity, Recognizing Uniqueness.  A thought for today from Archbishop Desmond Tutu: “My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Heavenly Father,

you have blessed us with these days that remind us

that winter does not last forever, that light and warmth do return,

and that we do have reason to hope,

even in the midst of sadness and distress.

The new life that we see in nature is mirrored

in the new lives of those around us.

May this respite from the cold and bitter weather

strengthen our resolve to live as people of hope,

to be light and warmth to those who are struggling and in despair,

and to be signs of your love for all the world to see.  Amen.

Notre Dame, pray for us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Have a wondrous Wednesday, Dons!
