Boxing at Notre Dame College Prep
Head Coach: Jack Cook
Assistant Coaches: Danny Romano, Patrick Weber
Boxing at Notre Dame College Prep is an intra-mural sport. Training begins in January and culminates in Notre Dame’s annual Fight Night in early April. Training takes place after school several afternoons per week and coaches are available for further training a few evenings each week at Brooks Park. Boxing holds ‘club’ status at Notre Dame, with appropriate rights and privileges available.
Skill development, self-confidence, and conditioning are goals of the program. Boxers are matched according to age, experience, skill level, and weight. Inter-mural competitions have also been arranged in past years. Notre Dame has participated in the Tournament of Champions boxing competition in the past and has competed against Marist High School boxers in a dual match as well.
The Notre Dame Boxing Club sponsors other activities and conditioning opportunities throughout the year.
