Welcome to Notre Dame College Prep!
Welcome to our website! Whether you are visiting here for the first time, or already a member of our community, you are welcome. Everyone is always welcome; that is who we are. As you read through each page, you will begin to develop a sense of who we are as a community made up of Holy Cross educators, students, parents, alumni, and friends of Notre Dame College Prep.
We educate gentlemen of faith, scholarship and service in an inclusive family-oriented community. This is part of our mission statement, and it governs everything we do at every level at Notre Dame College Prep. We have been doing it for over sixty years. Just as the world changes, we have to adjust in order to prepare our students for the world in which they will live and work.
We are faithful to the Roman Catholic tradition and are inspired by Gospel values. We believe that is the best way to prepare students to be life long learners and to lead lives of integrity. Young men who come to Notre Dame as Catholics will leave as better Catholics. Similarly, young men of other faith traditions will leave more strongly rooted in their faith traditions.
We believe it is important to prepare young men for college and for life. Our students spend four years learning about themselves and leave believing they can change the world – and they do! Our faculty and staff facilitate this learning in an environment that helps each young man become all that God wants him to be.
More than 100 years ago, Blessed Father Basil Moreau, the founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, said: “How we educate the mind will change with the times; how we cultivate the heart is and will remain timeless.” Cultivating the heart and mind of each student is at the core of a Holy Cross education at Notre Dame College Prep. Our students call themselves Dons – gentlemen in Spanish. To our students, being a Don is an achievement, which carries a responsibility to themselves, to each other, and to all with whom they come in contact.
We hope you will visit our 28 acre campus and discover for yourself the good that can happen in a beautiful learning environment. Until then, please enjoy our website.
