WALL OF FAME 2010 - Friday, January 29 and Sunday, January 31

As part of the Notre Dame College Prep 2010 Winter Sports Season, Notre Dame inducted  four graduates, along with our 1st Team  Induction, onto our Athletic Wall of Fame on Sunday, January 31.

Notre Dame College Prep inducted four outstanding alumni and an entire team on to the Athletic Hall of Fame outside the school’s gymnasium in late January 2010. The four inductees are Michael Rosengrant ’94 - wrestling, Robert Zielinski ’94 - football, Rick Piek ’97 – baseball and basketball, Brian Brosnan ’01 – football, wrestling and volleyball, and the 1969-1970 Varsity Basketball Team. They joined 130 fellow alumni so honored on “The Wall.”




The members of the 1969-1970 Varsity Basketball Team include Row 1: Rich Braham, Bruce Bozelka, George Skinner, Brian Cullen. Row 2: Kevin Kachan, Doug Kurzydlo, Pat Pressney, Dennis Sullivan, John O’Keefe, Fred Morgan, Tom Les, Byron King, Gabe Eaton. Row 3: Coach Ralph Hinger, Coach Jim Meyer, Bill Faber, John Parrish, John Hillinger,Tom Reckert, John Purtell, Greg Strattan, Russ Pohl, Bill Abraham, Roy Robinson.

The new members were honored publicly in the Notre Dame Gymnasium between the Sophomore and Varsity basketball games against St. Joseph at 7 pm on Friday, January 29.  There was an official induction ceremony on Sunday, January 31, where the new inductees were joined by other members of the Notre Dame Wall of Fame, school administrators and members of the school community and their families.

The Notre Dame College Prep Wall of Fame rests in the main hallway near the gymnasium.  It contains framed photographs of the school’s athletes who have excelled in their sports at the high school, collegiate and/or professional level.
